Kasabian's Futuristic Album
Kasabian's reckon their new record, 'Velociraptor!', sounds like ''the future '' and is their best yet.
Kasabian's new record is "the future ".
The 'Vlad the Impaler' band's fourth album - titled 'Velociraptor!' - moves their sound further forward and they're glad the initial reaction to new tracks, debuted at the Isle of Wight festival on Sunday (12.06.11), has been positive.
Singer Tom Meighan told Absolute Radio: "The overall response from the gigs and people that have heard it on the radio has been bigger than ever. Everyone seems to be really digging the new sound."
"It's a huge progression for us, it's epic. It's a proper rock album, futuristic modern rock album. It's the future."
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno added: "It's the best album we've done yet."
The rockers have played at the Isle of Wight festival - held on an island just off the south coast of the UK, which is only accessible by boat - before, and found the journey across can be fraught with danger.
Tom explained: "This year we came on a yacht, well we say a yacht, it was sold to us as a yacht and it was more like a caravan.
"We've done the Isle of Wight once before - last time we came on a speedboat. There was an injury but luckily it wasn't any of us.
"Some random guy found his way on and it served him right because he dislocated his shoulder and broke his wrist in two places. We have no idea who he was. No-one knows. That's the legend of the Isle of Wight."
